RESCUE - REHOME - SURRENDER
Assisting Australian owners
DISA has been providing awareness, education & support throughout the Australian dachshund community since July 2013. During this time it has helped and guided owners offering gentle words of support and advice at a time when they are often incredibly overwhelmed.
We understand how incredibly difficult and time-consuming it can be caring for a disabled Dachshund. Apart from the emotional and financial burden, ongoing care of a disabled dog can often be affected by personal, work and family influences and as such owners may be seeking to find alternative solutions.
To assist owners, DISA has compiled the following list of rescue organisations that offer an ethical, knowledgeable and non-judgemental service and whose volunteers most importantly understand the breed. Simply click on the links below to be taken directly to their website/Facebook Page.
