The Supporters of DISA are donors of cash, products, services, and time.
Without their contributions, our charity would not be able to provide the services and support to the multitude of Dachshund owners across Australia and the Oceania region.
THANK YOU FOR HAVING OUR BACKS!
Harper-Chase (IVDD Survivor)
Furdad – Bryan McKee
Audree-Rose is almost 6 years old and is a long hair silver dapple, Unfortunately, Audree has had 4 major surgeries in her short life.
- April 2016 bilateral pes-varus correction
- July 2019 IVDD surgery on L1-L2 after trauma during play
- July 2020 IVDD surgery T11-T12 and T12-T13
- November 2020 IVDD surgery L3-L4
She has fought back each time with determination and is still able to walk (and run) with just a minor deficit on the left and right sides. She is stubborn, sassy and very bossy and her pawrents love her to the moon and back.

Custom Drag Bag Maker for DISA
In memory of Schnitzel
Schnitzel and his fur-dad Graeme generously volunteered and represented DISA at Dog Lovers Shows in Melbourne both on the stand and Pat a Pooch. As fate has it, Schnitzel was struck down by IVDD in 2020 and following another relapse in 2021, he sadly crossed the rainbow bridge.
Forever loved by Graeme
Gone but never forgotten
On the 5th June 2021, Townsville Dachshunds Group held a stall with a kissing booth and also held two races for their Dachshund Derby Day. Through this event, they raised funds for DISA and provided DISA brochures to all race participants and Dachshund owners that visited their stall. What a fantastic effort, having the backs of owners in FNQ and spreading the word about IVDD.
